Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag Resynced New Game Plus [Confirmed]

According to verified reports from Kotaku journalist Kenneth Shepard published on October 27, 2026, Ubisoft deployed the final update for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Resynced, introducing a fully realized New Game Plus mode that the original release notoriously lacked. This long-awaited addition allows captains to retain Edward’s tools, upgraded weapons, custom outfits, hideout perks, art collections, and Kenway fleet ships while facing a radically restructured progression loop. Fog-of-war on the map resets, requiring forts to be retaken, while quest items and specific trade goods are cleared to balance the fresh economic framework. Crucially, Resynced introduces progressive scaling: subsequent playthroughs scale up difficulty by deploying elite soldiers more frequently and launching max-rank enemy fleets with heightened aggression. This stacking mechanism scales up to five times, ensuring hardcore completionists face a relentless maritime gauntlet. Players also earn an exclusive new currency specifically tied to New Game Plus challenges, fueling fresh progression paths.
