Big Walk Skips Xbox Over Microsoft BDS Boycott [Confirmed]

Australian indie studio House House has officially confirmed that its anticipated co-operative puzzle title Big Walk will not launch on Xbox consoles due to parent company Microsoft's targeted presence on the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) human rights movement lists. According to verified reports from Eurogamer, the developers behind the breakout hit Untitled Goose Game announced their stance during community inquiries regarding platform availability. Rather than citing technical hurdles or Xbox Series S hardware constraints, House House clarified that its decision stemmed entirely from moral and political considerations aligned with the global BDS campaign targeting Microsoft's enterprise computing and cloud infrastructure agreements. This decision reflects a broader indie developer movement re-evaluating corporate alignment, much like how the [DayZ Creator Slams Epic And Unity Greed [Confirmed]](/news/dayz-creator-slams-epic-unity) controversy sparked debates over platform ethics. Published by Panic, Big Walk centers on communication, proximity voice mechanics, and exploration across vast island terrain. Panic has supported the studio's choice, confirming that development schedules remain uninterrupted for targeted platforms while completely locking Microsoft hardware owners out of the co-op experience.
