Big Walk Skips Xbox Release Due to BDS Boycott [Confirmed]

Developer House House has officially confirmed that its highly anticipated cooperative adventure game Big Walk will not launch on Xbox consoles due to the studio's active commitment to the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement targeting Microsoft's enterprise practices. According to verified reporting from Kotaku, the Melbourne-based creators of Untitled Goose Game issued a definitive public statement explaining that while Big Walk was designed fundamentally around social multiplayer exploration, releasing on Xbox directly conflicts with their ethical stance. House House acknowledged player disappointment regarding severed party lineups, stating they hope to bring the title to Xbox only if Microsoft is formally cleared from BDS boycott lists. The BDS movement previously targeted Microsoft over cloud computing and AI infrastructure contracts with foreign state entities, backed heavily across indie development groups under coalitions like No Games for Genocide. With Big Walk continuing development for Steam and PC platforms alongside innovative peripheral setups like the [Steam Frame OLED Headset Specs & Rumors [Analysis 2026]](/news/steam-frame-oled-headset-rumors), the studio prioritizes geopolitical accountability over Xbox Game Pass distribution reach.
