ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X20 Review: $1,300 Handheld PC [Confirmed]

According to verified reports from Android Authority, the new ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X20 is an ultra-premium handheld gaming PC boasting a stunning OLED display, transparent shell, and a steep $1,300 price tag. Continuing with details from Android Authority, the device retains the powerful AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor and 24GB of LPDDR5X memory from its predecessor while refining controls and integrating Microsoft's dedicated full-screen Xbox interface. Reviewers note that while the hardware represents a monumental leap forward for portable gaming fidelity—bridging traditional PC libraries with console-style navigation—the Windows operating system remains an imperfect handheld OS. The device's premium tier positioning places it squarely in competition with elite portable rigs, though casual users may find the cost prohibitive. Gamers transitioning from lightweight devices like the [PUBG Mobile Light Edition: [Confirmed] Lower-Footprint Release](/news/pubg-mobile-light-edition-announced) will experience an entirely different tier of portable computing power, though the $1,300 barrier demands careful consideration. Industry analysts emphasize that hardware iteration like the X20 pushes portable form factors closer to desktop performance parity, paving the way for advanced gaming ecosystems throughout 2026.
