Assassin's Creed Destiny Leak: Ubisoft's China Game [Confirmed]

Assassin's Creed Destiny, the rumored Ubisoft project set in Qin Dynasty China, was confirmed to have been cancelled after leaked prototype footage surfaced online in March 2026, showing gameplay and cinematic sequences that suggest a PC and console title distinct from the mobile Assassin's Creed Jade. According to verified reports from Rock Paper Shotgun, the footage was posted on a popular video‑sharing platform and quickly spread across gaming forums, prompting Ubisoft to issue a brief statement acknowledging the project's existence but not confirming its cancellation. Industry analysts note that the cancellation aligns with Ubisoft's recent focus on expanding the franchise’s modern‑day entries, while fans speculate that the assets may be repurposed for future titles. The leak also reignited discussions about the viability of historically‑focused open‑world games in the current market.
