Despite industry assumptions that flight combat had surrendered mainstream relevance to hardcore military simulators, Ace Combat 8 has proven that thrilling cinematic flight mechanics maintain immense commercial demand. This triumph stands in stark contrast to broader market consolidation, arriving right as studios reevaluate production pipelines following developments like the [Ubisoft RedLynx Closure & Singapore Layoffs [Confirmed]](/news/ubisoft-redlynx-closure-singapore-layoffs).
