Abbott & Costello Kolchak Horror Crossover [Update 2026]

Monstrous Books has officially launched a 2026 Kickstarter campaign for Abbott & Costello Meet the Monsters, teaming the iconic comedy pair with classic television investigator Kolchak the Night Stalker in their first comic book adventure in more than 50 years. According to verified reports from IGN Articles, the ambitious crossover trilogy features Abbott & Costello Meet the Monsters #1 written by James Aquilone, showcasing gritty interior illustrations by Dave Acosta, coloring by Zac Atkinson, and cover artwork from J.K. Woodward. The publication campaign re-establishes vintage horror-comedy crossovers alongside subsequent planned issues featuring H.G. Wells' Morlocks and H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu, capitalizing on a wider industry trend that echoes legacy comic adaptations such as the [Tintin 2 Confirmed: Peter Jackson Directs Sequel [Confirmed]](/news/tintin-2-sequel-peter-jackson-confirmed) project. Kickstarter backers receive exclusive digital preview ashcans, variant artist folios, and collectible print runs detailing Kolchak's supernatural investigation alongside Bud Abbott and Lou Costello's comedic chaos. Industry analysts note that reviving classic 1970s television investigative folklore alongside mid-century comedy establishes a compelling multi-generational franchise model for comic retail storefronts and digital publishing platforms throughout 2026.
