PUBG Mobile New Update 2026: How to Follow It Safely

Open your app store listing first, because it shows the version number that is actually available to download in your region. Inside the game, the version also appears on the login screen and in the settings menu, so compare the two before trusting any update video. As of early November 2026 the live version is still 4.6, even though version 4.7 was announced for November 12, 2026. If your game still shows 4.6, nothing has gone wrong, the new version simply has not rolled out to you yet.

The safest place for patch notes is the in-game notices section, which appears when you log in after an update goes live. The official PUBG Mobile social channels and the app store changelog are the next best sources, because they publish the same notes the developers wrote. Treat update videos and forwarded messages as unconfirmed until the same change appears in one of those official places. If a feature is not in the official notes, assume it is not part of the update yet.

Update over stable Wi-Fi so a large download does not stall halfway and corrupt your game files. Make sure you have free storage space before you start, and close other apps so the download and install can finish cleanly. Double-check that your account is linked to a login method you can recover, such as a social account or email, before you tap update. Never log out of the game right before an update, because that is when players most often lose access to an unlinked account.

Fake update news usually promises a download link, early access, or free rewards for clicking first, and none of those come from the real developers. A genuine update arrives through your app store, never through a random video link, a chat forward, or a file shared in a group. If a post claims the update adds a feature that no official channel mentions, treat it as a rumour and wait for the official notes. Players who want a new account or a fresh start can browse verified PUBG Mobile accounts on 217G instead of trusting strangers who promise update files. See also our PUBG Mobile 4.7 update guide.
