Mod APKs & iOS Sideloading Explained

A mod APK is a modified copy of the game's Android installer, repacked with changed code: unlocked features, altered gameplay, or cheat menus built in. It replaces the official app, so the game you open is no longer the game the publisher shipped. Sellers claim their mod is safe because it needs no root access, but root was never the issue: the issue is that the client itself is modified, which the game treats as cheating whether or not the phone is rooted.

On iPhones, modified game apps arrive through sideloading: installing an app outside the App Store using a signing method. Sideloaded apps get revoked regularly, which means they stop opening until they are re-signed, and each re-signing round is another chance to install a tampered version. Sideloading also bypasses the App Store's review, so the app you install has no independent check for bundled malware or login stealers. The claim that sideloading needs no jailbreak is true and irrelevant: the ban risk comes from the modified app, not from how it was installed.

A modified app, Android or iOS, is a modified client, and the punishment runs from temporary bans to 10-year and device bans. The distribution channels add a second risk: mod APK sites and sideloading links are classic malware and login-theft routes, and a player who installs a mod has already trusted the exact source most likely to bundle a stealer. Some mods also ask for permissions the official game never needs, which is how contacts, messages and stored logins get harvested.

Install the game only from the official stores, and change how it feels only through its own settings menus. No mod, no sideloaded copy, no repacked installer, whatever the seller promises about root, jailbreak or detection. If you want stronger gear without risking your main ID, ready accounts are available through escrow on the PUBG accounts page (/en/pubg-accounts), and official UC top-up is on the UC page (/en/pubg-uc).
