How to Unlink a CODM Account

To unlink a Call of Duty Mobile account, first confirm which login method you actually use to play, then remove only the linked login you no longer want, and keep at least one working login method attached at all times. Never remove your only login method before adding and confirming a replacement, because that is the most common way players lock themselves out. Work through the linked accounts screen slowly, and confirm each change before moving on.

Start by opening the account and linked accounts settings and listing every login method attached to the game. Note which one you use daily, which ones are old or unused, and whether a second login method is already confirmed and working. If you plan to switch to a new login, sign in with that new login once and confirm it works before touching the old one. Take a note of your player name and level as a reference, in case you need to describe the account to support later.

Once a replacement login is confirmed, return to the linked accounts settings and remove the unwanted connection. Follow the on-screen confirmation prompts fully, and do not close the app mid-step. After removal, sign out and sign back in using the login you intend to keep, and check that your progress, friends, and settings are intact. If anything looks missing, stop and check the other login methods before making further changes, because switching back and forth quickly can create confusion about which account holds your progress.

After unlinking, secure what remains. Update the password on the login method you kept, enable any extra login protection offered by that provider, and review the account for unfamiliar devices or linked apps. Remove any other old connections you no longer use, and keep a private note of which login method is now the primary one. If you ever plan to sell or hand over a device, unlink the game from that device's accounts first, so the next user cannot open your game progress.
