Fallout 4 Fathomless: A Deep-Sea Horror Beneath the Atlantic

Fallout 4: Fathomless is a new Verified Creation for Fallout 4, announced by Bethesda during its Fallout Day 2026 celebrations. It comes from developer Zone Zero Creations and is described as a full expansion-style experience rather than a small add-on. Verified Creations are community-made works that Bethesda highlights and supports through its official Creations system. Fathomless was announced alongside two other Creations, and it is the one with the longest wait, since it is not due until 2027.

Fathomless follows the path of an ambitious pre-war expedition deep below the Atlantic Ocean, down to a mysterious deep-sea crater. The Sole Survivor descends into a new underwater worldspace with its own interiors, a sharp change from the Commonwealth wasteland players know. Shipwrecks and unknown depths set the scene for the adventure, and the official description leans on the cosmic horror themes already present in Fallout 4. It is a darker, more frightening direction for the game, built around what waits at the bottom of the ocean.

Bethesda has confirmed a new storyline with fully voiced dialogue, a new underwater worldspace with interiors, and new enemy types for the Sole Survivor to face. Reports describe five new enemy types and a fully voiced story, though the full roster of creatures has not been detailed yet. The 2027 release window is the only timing Bethesda has given, with no specific date announced. Beyond the setting, the tone, and those features, Bethesda has not shared details about quests, areas, or items.

Bethesda has not said whether Fathomless will be free or a paid Creation, and that detail will decide how many players actually try it. No platform list has been announced, and no specific release date exists beyond the 2027 window. The exact quest structure, the size of the new worldspace, and the full enemy list are also unconfirmed. Until Bethesda shares more, treat any claimed date, price, or platform list as unverified, and check official Fallout channels for the next announcement. Players waiting for 2027 can pass the time in the daily custom room on 217G or browse PUBG Mobile accounts and the store for their next game. See also our Fallout 4 Fathomless guide.
