Enshrouded Nexus: What Shroud Nexus Is and How to Get It

Shroud Nexus is an epic-rarity crafting material in Enshrouded, and it is one of the most important late-game materials in the game. It is a concentrated form of Shroud energy, and it gates two things players care about most: the largest building area for their base and the biggest storage chest in the game. Because it is epic rarity, it is not something you stumble across early, and you will need to plan around it once your base grows. Treat it as a late-game resource and save it for the upgrades that matter.

The most reliable way to get Shroud Nexus is to craft it at the Alchemist. The recipe takes eight Shroud Particles, four Shroud Adhesive, and ten Mint Mushroom Meat, so you will need the Alchemist rescued and his crafting unlocked first. Gather the ingredients from the Shroud: Shroud Particles come from Shroud creatures and deposits, Shroud Adhesive drops from Shroud Flayers, and Mint Mushroom Meat comes from the large green-capped mushrooms growing inside the Shroud. Once you have the ingredients, craft at the Alchemist whenever you need more, because crafting is steadier than hoping for a drop.

Shroud Nexus also drops from elite Fell enemies, which is the faster route if you are strong enough to fight them. The Fell Monstrosity, Fell Cyclops, and Fell Sicklescythe can all drop it, and a good farming spot is any Shrouded zone where these elites appear regularly. These are powerful enemies, so bring proper gear, food, and potions before you go hunting. Farming works best as a supplement to crafting: fight the elites while you gather ingredients, and craft the rest at the Alchemist so you are never stuck waiting on a drop.

Shroud Nexus has two main uses, and both are worth saving for. First, it upgrades the Flame Altar to its highest building-area level, which gives your base the largest protected building zone in the game. Each Flame Altar upgrades separately, so plan which altar gets the upgrade first. Second, it crafts the Huge Magic Chest at the Carpenter, a large storage chest that greatly increases what your base can hold. Because the material is scarce, do not spend it on small upgrades first: save it for the altar level and the chest, and gather more before you start the next project. Enshrouded players can also browse the store for other games. For more on building in Enshrouded, see our method guide to unlocking building blocks (/en/seo/enshrouded-building-blocks-unlock-method).
